Holy Republican Herpes Batman! – That’s some rough GOP-on-GOP trash talk!
As the days close in on the would-be Harry Reid challengers, Sharron Angle’s getting some #30 grit sandpaper applied to her political hide by establishment Republicans. According to KOH news on Tuesday afternoon, State Senator Bill Raggio warned recently that an Angle victory on June 8 will send Republicans running into the arms of Harry Reid.
Then, Republican activist Bill Brainard described Angle on a Nevada Newsmakers pundit panel as “Republican herpes.” By which one assumes he means that she won’t go away. That’s the charitable interpretation.
Are they helping to set Angle up as the next Rand Paul? Will Republican warnings that a Democrat is preferable to Angle - notwithstanding said Democrat’s powerful position –push primary voters who are sitting on the Lowden-Angle fence into Angle’s camp? The Reasonable Reporter doubts that was the intention, but will it be the result?
And what will a fence-sitting, but sufficiently p.o.’d conservative voter do after hearing Angle characterized as a venereal disease?
This is not a normal political year. Let’s tick off a few of the names that remind us of it. Bob Bennett… Charlie Crist… Trey Grayson… Will Sharron Angle claim victory next month with the unwitting help of Republicans who would like to stop her?

All these attacks by other Republicans are what is sending people to join a third party or to quit voting all together. If they would point out some real facts rather than just name call, people might take them seriously. Name calling should have been left in kindergarten.

Anyone who is a Republican and/or conservative should be glad if they get back-handed by the likes of Bill Raggio. He actually is not a real Republican and has publicly endorsed Democrats against true Republicans simply because the “balance of power” is at stake. That is what Raggio, Reid and all the other “establishment” politicians are about anyway. Thank goodness for state term limits… now if we could get them for federal office holders as well we would be getting somewhere…

It is all about Sharron Angle, pandering to Scientology, just like any old opportunist politician. I thought she was above this. But,nnnooooo, she is just like the rest of these pols.

Sharron Angle has never pandered to Scientology. She is a Southern Baptist. That scientology stuff was created and embelished by a democrat political opponent. Sharron has not been attacking anyone!!
On the other Lowden (who has been doing all the attacking on Sharron) is a lifelong supporter of Harry Reid and Jimmy Carter. Look it up in http://www.opensecrets.com Also, if she doesn’t get her way in the convention, as chairperson she shuts down the convention and elects the delegates behind closed door in a smoke filled room. She voted for pro-choice before she voted against it…kinda like John Kerry. Lowden is nothing but a RINO.

Mark Levin had it right Monday: “And at a time like this, when the nation is bankrupt, and it’s getting worse and worse in terms of our liberties and private
properties, why would you vote for a moderate Republican? Because Harry Reid pretends that he’d rather run against a conservative? I say give Harry Reid what he wants – a solid conservative – and then she, Sharron Angle, will kick his a$$!”

Politics is a game of addition. The GOP is playing a major game of subtraction and division. The GOP needs remedial election math.

How nice it would be if the Republican front runners would stop the name calling and back biting and address the serious issues facing this State and this Nation. Sharron may talk about what she will do in Washington, but the truth of the matter is she will not have the ability to do any of what she says she will do. Freshmen Senators have absolutely no power, no connections and would be lucky to have an office in the basement.
