March 21, 2011Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford addressed an emergency meeting of the Nevada Tax Commission today during the public comment period. Horsford appeared as a Nevada citizen and a taxpayer, he said. He presented a petition asking the Commission to enact emergency changes to the regulations governing mining deductions as they apply to the net proceeds of minerals tax.

Senate Dems say Sandoval budget breaks faith with voters
February 25, 2011Senate Democrats accused Governor Brian Sandoval on Thursday of plugging an “arbitrary and capricious” number into his budget. They further claimed the governor broke faith with voters when he proposed that school district bond reserve accounts be used for operational expenses, rather than building and improvements.
